New York City's Nintendo World store will host a Pokémon Diamond and Pearl launch party 1-5 p.m. April 22. Events listed at Pokémon.com include a scavenger hunt, live stage events, contests and prizes. Both Diamond and Pearl games will be playable, and fans can play TCG or watch Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea.
The store, located in Rockefeller Center, opens at 9 a.m. daily.
Get Ready for Game Day!
Turtwig and Chimchar and Piplup, oh my! On April 22nd, we'll turn New York City;'s Rockefeller Center into a Pokémon paradise to celebrate the launch of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl - and you're invited! From 1 to 5 PM, Pokémon gamers and fans of all ages can meet Sinnoh's starter Pokémon in their first U.S. appearance and enjoy some Pokémon party fun! Plus, Rockefeller Center's Nintendo World store opens at 9 AM, so you can be among the first in the country to pick up pre-ordered copies of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl!
What's in store for the big party? We're talking a PokéBall scavenger hunt, live stage events, contests, and cool prizes like exclusive Pokémon Nintendo DS Lite units, Pokémon gear, and even tickets to some great summer sporting events! Want to see Pokémon Diamond and Pearl in action? We've got interactive game play stations where you can experience the exciting features of these new games! We'll even have a Trading Card Game play area and a movie lounge where you can check out the latest Pokémon film, Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea. Younger Pokémon fans can also enjoy a special Kids Zone!
